Recently I got a 60 minutes Flip video camcorder. Woo…..It’s wonderful! I got it recorded many interesting video during my vacation.

At this post, I will tell you how to take still images/pictures from Flip video and Flip HD video off Flip Mino&Mino HD, Flip Ultra&Ultra HD camcorder.
From Yahoo! Answers, I find that many flip camcorder users are confused at the following question:
1. Does the Flip Video camcorder take regular photos besides the video?
2. How to capture still images from flip video?
The answer to the first question will be disappointing with all flip video camera users. As far as I know, there is no way to take still pictures directly with the flip camcorders, neither the Flip Mino, the Flip Mino HD, the Flip Ultra nor the Flip Ultra HD camcorder.
However, there is two workaround methods to capture still images from your video on a Mac.
The First Method: Using Quick Time Pro
Flip Video Take picture Steps:
Step1.Tansfer your flip video to Mac off the Flip camera
Step2. Use QuickTime Pro to open the video
Step3. Find the point of your video that you want to capture as a still image and drag it onto your desktop.
Step4. Open the dragged file with QuickTime Pro and then select File > Export > Movie to Picture>Options>Compression Type > Photo – JPEG > Click OK
The Second Method: Using Doremisoft Mac Flip Converter
