I’ve just started out with affiliate marketing and have made a mini site for a particular niche but how do i get traffic? i tried promoting it on squidoo and similar places but i just don’t seem to get enough traffic,any good free SEO techniques?doesn’t matter if they are black hat

Did you do a keyword search on Google? Most mini sites used PPC (pay per click) like Google Adword. Some people use forums.
Mini sites are hard to get SEO, because you can’t use the traditional methods to advertise. That’s why they use Adwords, it builds by the amount of traffic.
You could also use sites like Traffic Swarm, Traffic Splash, or Hit 2 Hit. You will have to make a landing page for these sites.
That’s about all I can think of right now. I hope this gives you some ideas.
