I am an application developer with a strong interest in biotechnology, genomics to be more specific. It seems like I never seen any jobs advertised for IT positions in these fields. It is hard, or basically impossible, for someone with a degree in programming (CIS) – but no biology degree – to get a position with such a firm?
How does a person with a programming background break into the genomics or biotechnology field?
